A few words from our DECA state finalist!
Competed in Retail Merchandising series
Being part of DECA has been an experience that I will always cherish and carry with me. It was my first for everything; my first time competing, traveling, flying, it was my first time meeting people from places other than home, and my first time taking marketing and being part of DECA. Because of competition I now have more opertunities opened to me . Thanks to my determined advisor I have fallen in love with marketing and plan to make that part of my future career.
Because I attended Nationals, I was able to learn so much from my fellow competitors and other advisors from not only across the country, but also from certain parts of the world. I was able to see how all these other competitors were so focused and determined, that I knew that in order for me to place a spot in nationals, that I could have to do the same. I will take what I have learned and use it to better prepare myself and others for next year's competition in hopes of representing Gadsden as a DECA finalist in nationals.
GADSDEN DECA attended State Competition February 15th-17th 2018.
